American garage rock band leaded by famous actress Juliette Lewis(Natural Born Killers)who joined H2O´s guitarrist Todd Morse , bassist Jason Womack and drummer Ed Davis.
In 2004 they released their first E.P. “like a bolt of lightning” and their first full album under the name of “You are Speaking My Language” wich included songs like You are Speaking My Language wich was their most succesfull single and Got Love to Kill wich had a more disco influenced sound.
Juliette really knows how to charm her public…
In 2006 they Releeased their 2nd album “four on The Floor” wich included Hot kiss, a really cool punk rock tune with one of the crappiest videos I ´ve ever seen in were you can see juliette walking arround in a funny way dressed like an indian mixed with one of Fame ´s Characters.
I dunno If the band is still together , but I would tottally love a new album, for those who don´t know the band I highly recomend to get their albums cause this band rocks!
British band formed in 1975 By bassist ,singer & songwriter Lemmy Kilmister, commonly classified as speed rock, heavy metal this power trio rocked the 80´s with several succesfull singles such as, Ace of Spades, Overkill & Bomber wich cemented the bands reputation as one of Great britain´s most powerfull heavy metal bands.
Despite being categorized as heavy metal, the band succeded in other cultures , such as Punk Rock, Goth , emo, and also had some hits in the mainstream area.
In 2005 they recieved their first grammy and from that moment to the present date the band has released three more albums. KIss of death(2006),Better Mötorhead than dead:Live at hammersmith(2007) and Motörizer (to be released on this years aug/26 for the U.S. & sept 1 in Europe).
I don´t wanna stop, is Ozzy´s last album (black rain) most commercial song to me, it has this strange groove sounds kinda different to most of other Ozzy stuff, and this applies for the whole album, the sound is fresh, powerfull , the drums beat hard in the background and the guitar sound is like a wall falling on your head plus ozzy´s voice sounding better than ever.
if you are an ozzy fan , you must listen to this album, tough it might take you some time to start feeling confortable with the new sound.
I found this band Stumbling across youtube.Instantly I thought I´ll post one of their videos cause they rock!
with their heavy metal sound they shread licks that remind to metallicas old days mixed with a strange voice tone that somehow reminds me to ozzy osbourne´s(I think they used the same voice filter or something like that).anyways this is a band that must be listened to I f you like metal.
Ashes Divide is Billy Howerdel´s new proyect. Since a Perfect Circle entered on hiatus Former members Billy Howerdel & maynard James Keenan(former singer from tool) started focusing in their own proyects.
As maynard focused on his proyect Puscifer wich released his first album “V Is For Vagina” the last fall Howerdel focused on “Ashes Divide”. The proyect´s sound is not very different to APC, the music has almost the same mood, Howerdel´s voice kinda reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkings old era When Corgan used to cry a lot! but the songs are really good and makes you want to listen them one after the other.
Ashes divided first album “Keep Telling Myself Its All Right” was released on april 8 2008 and the band will now start a tour sharing stage with bands such as, Linking park,Chris Cornell,Atreyu,10 Years and Street Drum Corpse .
Probot is Dave Grohl´s proyect/tribute band to all his favourite metal bands from the 80´s & 90´s.
I this proyect Grohl composed all the tracks, and then asked different singers, like Lemmy, Max Cavalera, Jack Black or King Diamond to sing over them. the result is just rock n roll.
The video of “Shake Your Blood” is ranking the #2 in the list of the best metal videos of the new millennium in a vote carried out by Mtv 2. It features an appearance by 66 women from the Suicide Girls adult entertainment website. In the video, the band is represented with Dave Grohl on drums, Lemmy on lead vocals and bass, and Wino on lead guitar.
With lead vocalist Katie White, U.K. duo the Ting Tings have themselves a cheerleader more than a singer. But no matter, as “We Started Nothing” appropriately opens with a dashing display of dancefloor energy, and White is commandingly charming as she leads a chorus in “Great DJ” that’s little more than vowel sounds. But things get better from there, as the band’s U.K. No. 1 “That’s Not My Name” is a sassy singalong anthem.
There’s some Toni Basil in the band’s retro, slinky grooves, but the Tings walk away triumphant, thanks to a last-minute jolt of guitar. The act gets punky on iPod hit “Shut Up and Let Me Go,” and “Keep Your Head” and “Fruit Machine” are filled with brazenly sharp new wave sounds. For an album of sugar highs, there’s certain to be a buzz kill or two (”We Walk”), but there’s plenty of fun to be had here. —Todd Martens
The irish superstars have released concert films for every tour they´ve done back to 1987. So when U2 hit the road 2005.they were determnined to do something completly different. What they wound up with -The First 3D concert Movie ever- is a technical and artistic feat unlike any other rock concert film before it .Shot over eight nights during the groupd March 2006 South american lerg.
U2 3D is a 360 degree immmersion into a perfectly realized concert - one minute you are shoulder to shoulder with The Edge, the next you are dropped into the thick of the franzied pit.
“when we come into town,Rattle and Hum is often playing the night before the show,” says U2 manager Paul McGuiness. “Twenty years on.Itll be U2 3D - I´d rather they saw that anyway.”
