Porcupine Tree is a 21 year old experimental rock band from Hertforshire, England.
The band started in 1987 as a colaborative proyect between Steven Wilson & Malcolm Stocks who inspired in bands as Pink Floyd wich predominated the music scene during their youth, they created this band where everything from its members to it´s history was fictitious, as Wilson started earning money to own he´s own recording studio he started thinking of comercializing his proyects music and recorded an 80 minutes cassette named “Tarquin´s Seaweed Farm” Under the name of Porcupine Tree. As a way to continue with his joke, Wilson added an 8 page booklet wich contained invented info of the bands story and fictitous members such as Sir Tarquin Underspoon.

Over the years the band style has shifted from psichedelyc pop or sweet accustic balads to heavy metal , all mixed up with an incredible sence of taste making every song very diferent to the other and as a plus in their live shows they use a couple of screens in the background showing werid trippy images that perfectly dance to the rithm of the tree.

If you didn´t know this band then its you lucky day boys! Enjoy!
Formed in 1987 by Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner on guitars and vocals, Jennifer Finch on bass and and former drummer Roy Kutosky Who left the band shortly after Being replaced by Dementra “Dee” Plakas.
L7 has been rocking the uderground and mainstream scene with their raw, agressive garage sound and attitude for a pretty considerable time, spitting hots like “Shitlist” song that ended taking part in the soundtrack of Oliver stone´s “Natural Born Killers” (1994) and marking the difference in their live gigs with facts like Donita removing her used tampon off stage and thrhowing it into the public yelling “Eat my used tampon fuckers!!” as a way to complain for the mud that was being throwed onto the stage by the public.
The bands name came out from a slang word very used on the 50´s wich meant square and was oftently related to the sexual possition “69″.
According to their official Website L7 has been in an indefinite hiatus since 2001 And its members are all working in their own solo carreers as is the case of Donita and Dementra and others are just working in other band proyects as is the case of bassist Jennifer Finch who is playng on a punk rock band called The Shocker.
Formed in 1973, this band doesen´t need an introduction, innovating with a theatrical on stage performance that features, kabuki type make up, smoking guitars, glitter and fire kiss has been rocking all these years. they earned at least 24 gold albums throuth all these years. despite they almost desappeared during the last part of the 80´s, they got back to the spotlight in the 90´s when people started feeling nostalgic about them and started considering them as clasic band. in 1995 they rocked Mtv´s live studio With an unexpectedly unmasked acustic show wich ended up selling out!.
If I´m well informed, they are starting a new tour at sometime of this year, so if you like rock n roll and never seen this bands live performance, I totally recomend you to grab your money a go get some tickets cause this is a band that you can´t miss.
Tool is a contemporary metal band with a really careacteristic, heavy, dark sound.
I like to say they are the Pink Floyd of the new era, they have this unique sound and a really twisted way to develop their songs, generating a progressive ambient that like climbing in some sort of spiral reachs to the top and explodes in light!.
Their two first albums(Opiate-1992 and Undertow-1993) had a more raw sound but since Paul Dámour´s(bass) departure in 1995 and the come of Justin Chancelor the bands sound starts getting more solid from album to album starting with Aenema in 1996, album that opened more doors to popularity containing the song Aenema wich made them won a grammy that same year.
Then in 2002 and after releasing a box set of rarities and versions under the name of salival, they release their third studio album Lateralus a very polemical album , not only for its incredible cover art designed by Alex Grey wich figures a perfect vivivsection of the human body dividing each layer in each page but also for having an alternative order for the tracks known as “the holly gift” that revealed that the album was in fact a unique track ,cutted edited and finally reordered by the band. Then in 2006 and after editing a couple of lateralus related DVD´s they come out with their latest and probably most amazing work 10,000 days, a studio album with 11 tracks and with the weirdest cover I ever seen in my whole life, also designed by Alex Grey the album has this weird estroboscopic lenses to see the boocklet images in an awesome 3D perspective, tottaly worth the buy!!.
I stumbled upon this guys today, they are fucking amazing, They play those ancient shamisen in a rock n´roll style like they where playing on a gibson les paul. Originaly from Japan the yoshida brothers mix Ancient japaneese music with modern rock n´roll, pregressive metal, and even blues.
Ok with no more to say, I leave you with this amazing video so can really uderstand what I´m talking about!

American garage rock band leaded by famous actress Juliette Lewis(Natural Born Killers)who joined H2O´s guitarrist Todd Morse , bassist Jason Womack and drummer Ed Davis.
In 2004 they released their first E.P. “like a bolt of lightning” and their first full album under the name of “You are Speaking My Language” wich included songs like You are Speaking My Language wich was their most succesfull single and Got Love to Kill wich had a more disco influenced sound.
Juliette really knows how to charm her public…
In 2006 they Releeased their 2nd album “four on The Floor” wich included Hot kiss, a really cool punk rock tune with one of the crappiest videos I ´ve ever seen in were you can see juliette walking arround in a funny way dressed like an indian mixed with one of Fame ´s Characters.
I dunno If the band is still together , but I would tottally love a new album, for those who don´t know the band I highly recomend to get their albums cause this band rocks!

I don´t wanna stop, is Ozzy´s last album (black rain) most commercial song to me, it has this strange groove sounds kinda different to most of other Ozzy stuff, and this applies for the whole album, the sound is fresh, powerfull , the drums beat hard in the background and the guitar sound is like a wall falling on your head plus ozzy´s voice sounding better than ever.
if you are an ozzy fan , you must listen to this album, tough it might take you some time to start feeling confortable with the new sound.
